Dear North Tyneside Metropolitan Borough Council,

Please provide me with records of all money which has been awarded or given in any form to the Tyne & Wear Anti Fascist Association (TWAFA). This organisation may also be found under pseudonym Tyne & Wear Anti Fascist Coalition (TWAFC).

Please provide these records in the following form:

A) A total, all-time figure of how much money has been provided to the organisation; and
B) An annual breakdown of this all-time figure, detailing:
- the nature of the money provided, i.e. grant, loan .etc, and for which purposes the money was provided by the Council; and
- the annual sum of money provided in relation to the nature above; and
- the department or individual responsible inside the Council for signing off this money; and
- the point of contact in the Tyne & Wear Anti Fascist Association for both communicating and receiving this money;

Your request was received on 11/02/2019 and the Council is dealing with it
under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000. 

 

As required by the legislation, the Council aims to answer your request
promptly, but no later than 20 working days after receipt. As stated in
the Information Commissioner’s guidance, Awareness Guidance 11 Time for
Compliance, the 20 working day clock starts the day after the Council
received the request. The due date has been calculated to be 11/03/2019. 

 

If the information you have requested contains reference to a third party,
then they may be consulted prior to a decision being taken on whether or
not to release the information to you.

 

Very occasionally, fees may be payable for the supply of information under
the Freedom of Information Act.  This will be considered, and if fees are
payable in respect of this request the Council will contact you before
proceeding in order to be sure that you are happy to go ahead.  Any fees
that do apply must be paid before the information is processed and
released.

You tell me that no payments have been made to this organisation in any form. Yet evidence which I have appears to show this organisation requesting payments from the Council for work it conducted. Please see this document dated 10 February 2008: https://ufile.io/m6r6z

This therefore appears to be a highly misleading response and I am now requesting an internal review as to how the Council have got this request so spectacularly wrong.
