I would like to request the following:

1. How many Freedom of Information requests were made of Aberdeen City Council in the most recent five calendar years on record (figures for each year required)?
2. Where do these requests come from? (e.g. how many are from newspapers, freelance journalists, businesses etc.)
3. How much did the Freedom of Information requests cost in each of the above years- is there a published report I could be sent a link to?

3. How much did the Freedom of Information requests cost in each of the
above years- is there a published report I could be sent a link to?

We are unable to provide you with the full cost for each year as the cost
is not routinely recorded for each request. We only record this
information when it has been provided to us. Where it has not been
provided, this is because the officer answering the request did not log
their time.

 

However, we can provide you with information based on what we do have
recorded. Please see below.

 

Please note that the cost we record per request is based on the time taken
to answer the request multiplied by the relevant officer’s hourly rate and
is only an indicator of cost, not an actual charge. It does not include
any other associated costs, such as administrative costs, the costs of the
central FOI processing team or postage/printing costs.
