A91 High Street, Dollar - Corner near Church - Road Inspections & Associated Information Request

Can you please provide me with the following information:

Dates of all safety inspections undertaken on the carriageway in the two years preceding 7 January 2012.

Details of all carriageway defects identified during safety inspections in the two years preceding 7 January 2012.

Details of how carriageway safety inspections are undertaken, including whether walked or driven, the speed of the inspection vehicle and the number of persons in the vehicle.

The intended frequency of carriageway safety inspections.
Details of all complaints and/or enquiries relating to the carriageway, received in the two years preceding 7 January 2012.

The hierarchy classification.

The road/section number.

The defect intervention criteria adopted in relation to the identification of all categories of carriageway potholes (in other words, this means how they define a pothole as requiring attention)

The time period(s) adopted between identification and repair (temporary and permanent) of all categories of carriageway defects.

Whether or not the authority has formally adopted all or part of the standards contained within the national code of practice for highways maintenance management.

Thank you for your information request dated 09/01/2012.

I am happy to supply you with the information you requested.

Your request states the location as A91 High Street, Dollar. I presume
that you are referring to A91 Bridge Street, Dollar and that the church
you refer to is on the corner of A91 Harviestoun Road and Mylne Avenue.
Therefore this response contains details for that location.

1. Dates of formal safety inspections undertaken during the last two years
are 15/12/11, 27/9/11, 5/4/11, 9/11/10, 4/8/10 and 6/5/10.

2. See attached files (Bridge Street Ins Rep.pdf & Harviestoun Ins
Rep.pdf) for these details. (Note these files also include any defects
reported by the public received through our Contact Centre).

3. See attached file Roads Safety Standards & Procedures for details of
our inspection regime. The inspections above were undertaken from a moving
vehicle (normally by one person). Speeds are not recorded.

4. See file as per 3 above for frequencies and 2 above for service
requests.

5. The hierarchy of the route is Priority 2 - Strategic Route.

6. Road Number is A91 section 78.
