Dear Franco Bokor,

Thank you for your email.

PHE can confirm that it does not hold the information, as you have specified in your request.

Under Section 16 of the FOI Act, public authorities have a duty to provide advice and assistance. Accordingly, you may wish to contact the Office of National Statistics (ONS), which is responsible for the registration of death certificates in England and Wales. Deaths that have been directly attributed to the vaccine due to an adverse reaction can be found within the ONS Monthly Mortality Analysis. You can access the Monthly Mortality Analysis and other ONS mortality datasets at: https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationa...

Additionally, you may wish to contact the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). The MHRA regulate medicines and medical devices, and ensures that medicines and medical devices including vaccines, meet applicable standards of safety, quality and efficacy. The MHRA operate the Yellow Card scheme, which is the UK system for collecting and monitoring information on suspected safety concerns or incidents involving medicines and medical devices. The MHRA publish a weekly report covering suspected adverse reactions to approved COVID-19 vaccines, this includes suspected deaths. You can access these reports at:

Dear FOI,

No information held? Ons doesnt seem to have this information either. I am aware you do have the data on the people who have had the covid 19 vaccine? I am aware you have the data on deaths that occur? I cannot comprehend that deaths that occur within 28 days of a covid 19 vaccine are not recorded? Especially if a death occurs, surely this must be noted? Every possible variable of data related to covid 19 and vaccines have been anylized from early 2020. All data relating to covid 19 and the vaccine as shaped the landscape of this pandemic to date. Under local authority hospital trusts this information is available on request locally. But does not seem to be available nationally?
To simply my question.
How many people have died in England and Wales within 28 days of having the covid 19 vaccine?

Yours sincerely,

Franco Bokor

Dear FOI,
I have made my way through the various options of ascertaining this information with the suggestions you offered. I also looked on Siren PHE. as suggested by Matt Hancock in the house of commons? With no results. On request under FOI to local NHS Trust authorities this data is available. Also Public Health Scotland offers this data under FOI.

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/d...

I believe this information is relevant data as covid 19 vaccines are licensed under emergency use to protect all our futures. Giving a balanced view all relating factors must be anylized.
So to accept PHE does not have this information is a nonsense. ''No information held'' is not an acceptable response without an explanation why this information is not held? Knowing other authorities do have this information.

I look forward to your response.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Public Health England,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Public Health England's handling of my FOI request 'Freedom of information act. Covid-19 vaccination

I have asked what I believe to be a reasonable question. Other governing bodies have the answer to my question i.e. Public Health Scotland, which I posted the link of their response to yourselves(which was the answer to very same question) and most local hospital trust also have the answer to very same question. ''Information not held'' is not a fair response when PHE must have access to all data as did the other authorities. Suggestions to mrha, gov, ons, yellow card etc.. are not where the answers to my question are held (I have searched all their data) ultimately the information surely must be held by yourselves. You have been at the forefront of this pandemic leading the way with a constant supply of Information for the Public to digest. All decisions from the pandemic start to date are lead by the data.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/f...
