Dear Peterborough City Council,

Please could you tell me your 2019-20 weekly foster care allowances
for young people age 16-18 years?

foster carers looking after young people in 18+ Staying Put
arrangements, broken down by year 1, year 2, and year 3+ if

Our Response:

Please could you tell me your 2019-20 weekly foster care allowances
for young people age 16-18 years?

 

 

Level One                   £248.85

Level Two                   £276.22

Level Three                 £313.53

Level Four                   £420.63

Contract Care              £454.91

 

 

The above figures do not include one off payments for holidays of
£497.70,  Christmas/festivals £248.85 & birthdays £248.85

Please could you tell me your 2019-20 weekly allowances to former
foster carers looking after young people in 18+ Staying Put
arrangements, broken down by year 1, year 2, and year 3+ if
necessary? 

 

£237.53 p/w less direct contribution from young person of £30 and
£94.81 Housing Benefit which is £112.72. The amount is the same for
all three years between the young person being 18 -21 years of age

 

This is made up of Level 3 skills and maintenance less the personal
allowance £237.53. If young person cannot claim HB for any reason,
the fees will be topped up accordingly.

 

If the young person is living away at university the full payment
will be made to Staying Put carer but only when the young person is
living with the carer
