Thank you for your e-mail dated 9th July 2018 requesting information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).

Request:
‘Please provide a copy of the school’s staff supervision policy and procedures. Please also provide all documents that I am entitled to that relate to managerial supervision, caseload supervision and professional supervision within the school.’

Response:
Unfortunately, we are unable to process this request further without additional clarification from you as it is not clear whether you are seeking documents relating to the supervision of staff only, or the supervision of pupils. Can you also consider providing further clarification regarding the period of time that your request relates to.

Section 12 of FOIA makes provision for public authorities and schools to refuse requests for information where the cost of dealing with them would exceed the appropriate limit, which is set at £450. This equates to 18 hours of staff time at a rate of £25 per hour. The absence of such clarification as referred to above, will deem it necessary to engage s.12 of FOIA as the cost of complying with the request will exceed appropriate limits under the legislation.
