Dear Jon Parker-Dean
Freedom of Information Act 2000

Thank you for your request for information received on 13 November 2019. I
can confirm that the information requested is held by Bristol City
Council. I have detailed below the information that is being released to
you.

In 2009/10 Bristol City Council had funding for 80 school crossing
patrols, averaging 10 hours per week each.    In 2018/19 this figure was
60 SCPs  averaging 10 hours per week each.
Please note that this is the number of positions we have funding for and
this may vary from the number who are employed. The number employed will
vary throughout the year owing to vacancies so it is not possible to give
a single figure for a given year.   We endeavour maintain SCPs at all of
our sites but are finding it increasingly difficult to recruit and retain
staff.

Please quote the reference number 2638343 in any future communications.

If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the
right to ask for an internal review. Internal review requests should be
submitted within two months of the date of receipt of the response to your

internal review you have a right of appeal to the Information Commissioner
