Dear Kevin

Your Request for Information [FOI-657-17]

Thank you for your request for information and the available information
is attached below.

Details of Pay increases between 2016-17 & 2017-18 detail for your trust

For any date in financial year 20-16-17 and one year later in financial
year 2017-18

How many employees you have on both dates.

How many employees have you on the same band both dates

How many employee have been promoted between the dates

What is the trust average % increase in pay between the two dates for
employees on same band & where promoted, including the 1% annual pay rise
& any yearly band increment.

Our response:

Staff on the same spinal point got 1%.

SIP Headcount WTE
31-Aug-2016 15,173 14,118.62
31-Aug-2017 15,255 14,233.76

Staff who received a single step increment get an average of about 4.5%
(where the 4.5% includes the 1%).

Staff whose pay has changed in other ways, such as a change in pay band or
a change in working hours.

It is difficult to determine what part of these are “promotions”, due to
definitional issues.

I hope that the information that we have been able to provide will be of
value to you but please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
