FOI - Parking Charge Notices

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Newry, Mourne and Down District Council should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Newry, Mourne and Down District Council,

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to enquire the following information around the distribution of Parking Charge Notices.

I would like to request:

1. The number of Parking Charge Notices Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council has issued over the last 3 months (April 2017 - September 2017)
2. The revenue from the Parking Charge Notices issued by Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council over the last 3 months (April 2017 - September 2017)
3. The location i.e. street or car park where Parking Charge Notices have been issued the most by Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council over the last 3 months (April 2017 - September 2017)

Yours faithfully,

Tom Armstrong

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council

Dear Mr Armstrong,

I refer to the above and thank you for your request for information dated
2nd October 2017.

Your request to Newry, Mourne and Down District Council in relation to
parking charge notices has been treated as a request under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000.  I confirm your request has now been processed as a
request under the terms of the Act and, accordingly, please see the
response below.

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to enquire the
following information around the distribution of Parking Charge Notices.

I would like to request:

1. The number of Parking Charge Notices Barnsley Metropolitan Borough
Council has issued over the last 3 months (April 2017 - September 2017)
2. The revenue from the Parking Charge Notices issued by Barnsley
Metropolitan Borough Council over the last 3 months (April 2017 -
September 2017)
3. The location i.e. street or car park where Parking Charge Notices
have been issued the most by Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council over
the last 3 months (April 2017 - September 2017)

In the first instance it is noted that your request refers to 'Barnsley
Metropolitan Borough Council' which we trust is a typographical error and
is intended to refer to Newry, Mourne and Down District Council.

In any event, Newry, Mourne and Down District Council does not hold any
information in relation to your request.  As a district council in
Northern Ireland, Newry, Mourne and Down District Council does not have
responsibility for issuing parking charge notices.  The responsible public
authority in Northern Ireland is:

Parking Enforcement Processing Unit
PO Box 134
Coleraine
BT52 9AF

If you wish to discuss the above or require clarification on any matter,
please do not hesitate to contact me directly.

I trust this is of assistance.  However, should you be unhappy with our
response in this matter you may request an Internal Review of our response
and you can contact Mrs. Alison Robb, Assistant Director of Administration
([email address]) in that regard. In the event you are unhappy with
the outcome of any Internal Review conducted by the Council you may apply
to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) for a review of our
response. Please note that the ICO generally expects Internal Reviews to
be completed prior to reviewing the decisions of public bodies.  For
further information in relation to Freedom of Information I would direct
you to the website of the Information Commissioner at: [1]www.ico.org.uk.
