Dear University of Dundee,

The university's Use of Animals in research policy states that the university attempts to reduce and replace animal experimentation where possible, so I am requesting up-to-date information to track the progress of this policy in practice.

I request to know how many animals were used in experiments inside
the university between the 1st of January 2018 and 31st December
2018

How many animals were held for use in experiments inside the university between 1st of January 2018 and the 31st of December
2018 (if this differs from the above).

I Request to know what species of animals were used for these
experiments.

I request to know the Home Office licence classification for these
experiments in terms of pain, lasting harm, etc. if classified.

I request to know if the animals used were for medical or non
medical research.

I request to know how the University disposes of animals that are not killed as part of the project for which they have been obtained.

I request to know what specific steps the University has taken to reduce and replace animal testing, and what steps the University is planning to take.
