Dear Mr Breathen,

In response to your Freedom of Information request, unfortunately we are
unable to provide vehicle model, call signs or vehicle base as a complete
list as releasing this information could have security implications. After
taking advice from our Resilience team, we are therefore exempting your
request under Section 38(1)(a) - Endanger the physical or mental health of
any individual or group.

Kind regards

Dear North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust's handling of my FOI request 'Fleet List'.

I do not see how releasing information about your fleet to members of the public, who show an interest in the ambulance service is at all a security threat. As a start, I have seen a number of ambulance vehicles that clearly display the callsign on them. I find this unacceptable and totally ridiculous.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/f...

Yours faithfully,

Patrick Breathen

Dear Mr Breathen,

We will complete an internal review in accordance with our FOI policy.

Please see the policy wording below:

18. Appeals Process

If a person is dissatisfied with the outcome of a request for information
they have the right to ask for an internal review. In the first instance,
this should be addressed to the Chief Executive. The internal review must
be carried out within 20 working days from the date of the request of the
review. In a small number of cases, it may be reasonable to take longer.
In these circumstances, the Head of Communications and Engagement will
notify the requestor, explain why more time is needed and give an estimate
of the completion date. However, the total time taken for review should
not exceed 40 working days.

Should the person making the request remain dissatisfied with the outcome
of the review by the Chief Executive, then a final appeal should be
addressed to the Board of Directors and a panel of Non-Executive Directors
will be established to review the case.

If all of the above actions fail, the final recourse for an appeal is to
the Office of the Information Commissioner.

We will come back to you with a response within the 20 working day
deadline.

Kind regards
Caroline Turner
