Fitted Siren Models and Lighting Equipment

This request has been withdrawn by the person who made it. There may be an explanation in the correspondence below.

Josh Wands-Murray

Dear North Yorkshire Police,

I write to enquire about the siren and lighting equipment fitted to numerous vehicles in your fleet.

Specifically, the Make & Model or the siren modules and speakers fitted to current response vehicles, including but not limited to, Ford Transits, Vauxhall Vivaros and Peugeot 308s. Also, the siren make and model of those fitted to specialist vehicles such as the Roads Policing Groups BMW 330d and BMW X5s.

In relation to the lighting equipment fitted to the current fleet - previously the response fleet (I believe used by the Neighbourhood Policing Team) was almost entirely equipped with ‘Lomax’ Lightbars. Over the last few years, the fleet has been updated and some models are now seen fitted with ‘Ecco’ Lightbars. I seek to enquire whether this change in lightbar choice is likely to be updated across the future fleet in place of using lomax lightbars, and if so, what the reason for this change is.

Yours faithfully,

Josh Wands-Murray

Dear North Yorkshire Police,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of North Yorkshire Police's handling of my FOI request 'Fitted Siren Models and Lighting Equipment’

My request was originally opened on the 5th May 2020. This means yourselves should have responded within 20 days, making it no later than 4th June 2020. The date as I write this request for an internal review is 24th June 2020. This means a response from yourselves is approximately 4 weeks overdue.

Can I please request my FOI request is processed and responded to promptly and an explanation given as to why I have not received a response so far, and also why multiple FOI requests opened after my own have been responded too and satisfied, as viewable here: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/body/nyp

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/f...

Yours faithfully,

Josh Wands-Murray

Josh Wands-Murray

Dear Civil Disclosure/North Yorkshire Police,

I am requesting an update on my FOI request regarding the siren models fitted across the forces fleet. My original request was not acknowledged within the required time period for FOI requests and I have still received no correspondence after requesting an Internal Review into the handling of my request.

As can be seen online via ‘whatdotheyknow.com’ multiple FOI requests opened well after my own have since been responded to and satisfied in much shorter time periods.

Please can you update me on:
- The information I originally requested
- The reason I did not receive any response within the required time period
- The internal review into the handling of my request and why I am yet to receive any update from yourselves
- The reason other FOI requests placed after mine have been satisfied and older unanswered requests have not been prioritised

Yours sincerely,

Josh Wands-Murray
