Dear Helen

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 - INFORMATION REQUEST

Your request for information has now been considered and I am pleased to
provide you with details below.

Please could you let me know how many times in (a) 2014 (zero callouts),
(b) 2015 (1 callout to a domestic property), (c) 2016 (1 call out to a
domestic property and 1 callout to a commercial property), the fire
service has responded to emergency calls made about fireworks being posted
through letterboxes at (i) residential and (b) commercial properties.

The national incident recording system does not have a category for
recording this type of information easily.  The system can capture what
was on fire and what caused it e.g. firework but it does not have ability
to easily record that the firework was put through the letter box.  This
information can only be extracted by reviewing the incident log or if any
additional textual information was added to the incident report in the
summary section.

If you are unhappy with the way your request for information has been
handled, you can request a review by contacting the Freedom of Information
Officer at the address below.

If you remain dissatisfied with the handling of your request or complaint,
you have the right of appeal to the Information Commissioner at: The
Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow,
Cheshire, SK9 5AF, Telephone: 01625 545745 or 08456 306060 Website:
www.ico.gov.uk.

Yours sincerely
