Dear Cleveland Fire Brigade,

Could you please tell me how many calls to fires were attended each year, for the past five years, for the following Forestry Commission sites:

- Coatham Wood

Can I also ask for the total number of hours spent at fires for each year of the past five years too please?

I am aware that sometimes incidents are reported vaguely such as "the woods off of London Road" without the full address. Please could you do your best to capture these incidents too when they are on Forestry Commission land. Could you also include any other Forestry Commission sites that you cover that I may have missed please.

Yours faithfully,

D. Schofield

Info, Cleveland Fire Brigade

Dear D Schofield

Cleveland Fire Brigade are seeking clarification regarding your request.

As this is not an addressable location would you be able to provide a map of the area/s you are interest in. This would assist us in providing the information you are requesting.

Are you also just requesting information regarding fires in Coatham Wood and this information is publicly available.

Your request is currently on hold until you respond.

Kind Regards

Dear team,

The address for Coatham Wood is "Long Newton Lane, Stockton-on-Tees, TS16 0QQ"

I would be interested in the whole of the site, which I understand os bounded by Long Newton Lane, Darlington Road, Coatham Lane, Durham Lane and what seems to be an MoD site or a former MoD site to the south.

If there are any other Forestry Commission Woods, Forests or Plantations in your service area, I would be interested in them too.

Yours sincerely,

D. Schofield

Dear team,

I have been told by the Forestry Commission that "The information you seek is publicly available. There are a number of online sources that provide details of Forestry Commission sites, including: the Forestry Commission map browser and Land Information Search available at
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/use-the-land...
or the Defra MAGIC map available at https://magic.defra.gov.uk/ "

I hope this will assist you further in fulfilling my request.

Yours sincerely,

D. Schofield

Dear D Schofield

Freedom of Information Request

I am writing further to your email of 21 February 2022 where you requested
the following information:

Could you please tell me how many calls to fires were attended each year,
for the past five years, for the following Forestry Commission sites:

- Coatham Wood

Can I also ask for the total number of hours spent at fires for each year
of the past five years too please?

Following clarification more details were provided of the location, The
address for Coatham Wood is "Long Newton Lane, Stockton-on-Tees, TS16 0QQ"

I would be interested in the whole of the site, which I understand os
bounded by Long Newton Lane, Darlington Road, Coatham Lane, Durham Lane
and what seems to be an MoD site or a former MoD site to the south.

Please see the attached spreadsheet in response to your request.  For
information there is only one other forestry commission main area which is
Guisborough forest.

In the attached spreadsheet we are showing three polygons with the
resultant extracts of incidents. there are duplicate rows (highlighted)
where more than one appliance was in attendance. I have included the time
appliance mobilised and the time appliance was available so times can be
calculated. I've included the time and date of incident so the requestor
can filter on years. We have included all fire and property types that
were contained within the polygon areas.

We have used the period of 01 January 2017 to 31st December 2021 (which is
the latest reconciled dataset).

NB this data is only on incidents attend by Cleveland Fire Brigade.  They
may have been other fires at these locations to which we didn’t attend.

You have the right to seek a review of this decision and a request should
be made to the Head of ICT for this purpose. The request should be in
