Fires as Forestry Commission Sites

L. Mesi made this Freedom of Information request to Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service,

Could you please tell me how many calls to fires were attended each year, for the past five years, for the following Forestry Commission sites:

- Harling Woods (Shadewell IP24 2RX)
- Two Mile Bottom (Breckland IP24 1LX)
- St. Helen’s Picnic Site at Thetford Forest (IP27 0TJ)
- Thetford Forest (Brandon IP27 0AF)
- High Ash (Ickburgh IP26 5BX)
- Great Hockham (IP24 1PA)
- Shouldham Woods (PE33 0DQ)
- West Bilney Wood (King’s Lynn PE32 1JY)
- Bintree Wood (Green Lane, Billingham NR20 5HN)
- Bacton Wood (North Walsham NR28 9UE)

Can I also ask for the total number of hours spent at fires for each year of the past five years too please?

I am aware that sometimes incidents are reported vaguely such as "the woods off of London Road" without the full address. Please could you do your best to capture these incidents too when they are on Forestry Commission land. Could you also include any other Forestry Commission sites that you cover that I may have missed please.

Yours faithfully,

L. Mesi
