Dear Mr Conway,

Your request, received on 27^th April 2020, Reference 1493

Is it possible to answer the following questions about the stations in
Cheshire

1.    What vehicles  are there based at each station

2.    How many Personnel Are based at each station.

3.    What’s the Area Cover for the stations in Cheshire.

Our response 14 May 2020

1. What vehicles  are there based at each station – The CFRS website has a
link to our fleet list and images of some of our vehicles,
[1]www.cheshirefire.gov.uk, the information can be found in the “About us”
section under the vehicles link.

2. How many Personnel Are based at each station – This can vary due to the
duty system worked and the number of specialist vehicles that are based on
the station. Typically, our firefighters will respond to incidents with a
crew of four at any one time in most circumstances but, this can be
increased by one or two staff when specialist vehicles are on station. On
Call firefighters do not work at fire stations on a full time basis but
respond to emergencies from home or work on an alerter basis.

3. What’s the Area Cover for the stations in Cheshire – The cover in
Cheshire is provided across the Unitary Authority areas of Cheshire East,
Cheshire West and Chester, Halton and Warrington Borough Councils.
