"Fire Management Plan" for Thorne & Hatfield Moors SSSI NNR

The request was partially successful.

Thorne & Hatfield Moors Conservation Forum

Dear East Riding of Yorkshire Council,

We have examined the Management Plan 2016-2021 for the Thorne & Hatfield Moors SSSI NNR (which includes an area North of Blackwater Dyke which is in the ERY) published by Natural England to try to locate any reference to a “Fire Management Plan” for both these internationally important sites. We are unable to find any reference to the existence of any such document (or similar).

We assume that such a plan would be produced in collaboration with other statutory agencies and authorities (eg. Natural England, South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, Humberside FRS, North Lincolnshire Council, the Environment Agency and neighbouring landowners (eg Scottish Power, the Lindholme Hall Estate and Scotts (UK) Ltd etc.).

We therefore ask that you send us a copy of any “Risk Assessment / Fire Management Plan” (or variation) for Thorne & Hatfield Moors SSSI that you have been involved in the production of (Natural England's, any of the other organisations listed above, or your own).

Yours faithfully,

Thorne & Hatfield Moors Conservation Forum
