Can you detail how many fire doors have been installed in properties under your management that have been supplied by the following companies:

Manse Masterdor

Masterdor Limited

Specialist Building Products Limited, trading as Permadoor

Solar Windows Limited

Birtley Group Limited, trading as Bowater by Birtley

Have you taken any action to remove fire doors supplied by these companies since the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government announced these five suppliers have now been identified as failing to meet requisite fire performance standards.

Authority under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act.

 

Please find the response to your request below.

 

Wakefield Council has not installed any fire check doors from any of the
companies listed. There have been some general access and fire exit doors,
but none specifically fire rated for use as fire check doors.

 

Please note that the Council does not control any housing stock, having
transferred it in 2005 to Wakefield District Housing. If you require
information in relation to residential properties, you may therefore wish

to consider contacting that organisation. Please find their contact
