Fire checks and enforcement notices issued to schools
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information from you for the time period 2007 to 2017:
1) How many fire checks have been undertaken at schools in the area covered by your fire department for each of the years mentioned?
2) For each year, I would ask for the number of enforcement notices issued to schools who failed the fire checks undertaken.
Please provide the information in the form an Excel Documents
If it is not possible to provide the information requested due to the information exceeding the cost of compliance limits identified in Section 12, please provide advice and assistance, under the Section 16 obligations of the Act, as to how I can refine my request.
If you can identify any ways that my request could be refined I would be grateful for any further advice and assistance.

Thank you for your email which was received on 4th September 2018, requesting information for the period 2007 to 2017 relating to:-
1) How many fire checks have been undertaken at schools in the area covered by your fire department for each of the years mentioned?
2) For each year, I would ask for the number of enforcement notices issued to schools who failed the fire checks undertaken.
Your request is being dealt with under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and will be answered as soon as possible and at the latest within 20 working days, (2nd October 2018).
In the unlikely event that we are not able to respond within 20 working days we will write to you to explain why and provide an anticipated completion date.
In line with guidance published by the Information Commissioner’s Office, LFRS may make a charge for the provision of information – for example in order to cover the costs of postage (in line with the relevant postal charges) or charges for printing and copying (which will reflect photocopying charges levied by public libraries).
You will be informed if a fee is to be applied before information is to be provided.
