This is a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act. The information I am requesting relates to the University's financial activities in Greater China.

Please provide the following information:

1. The amount of any capital invested by the University, its subsidiary companies and joint ventures in companies registered and/or operating in the People's Republic of China, Hong Kong or Macau over the last ten years. Please include the company names and, where possible, a brief description of the primary activities of the company. Please indicate whether the investment is ongoing.

2. The amount of any foriegn capital investments in the University, its subsidiary companies and joint ventures by companies registered and/or operating in the People's Republic of China, Hong Kong or Macau over the last ten years. Please include the investor name and, where applicable and possible, a brief description of the primary activities of the investor. Please indicate whether the investment is ongoing.

Please provide the information in electronic form, separated into two databases - one database for information set 1 and another for information set 2. The "brief description of primary activities" need not be more than a few words. For example: a brief description of Oxford University Press (Shanghai) Ltd. may be "sales, marketing and distribution."
