Dear Henna,

Thank you for your request for information.

In November 2014 we introduced a new client management system,
subsequently retrieval of the requested information is only available from
November 2014 onwards; prior to this the information is not held in an
extractable format and would require 5000 records to be checked at 10
minutes per record equalling 833 hours, therefore this part of your
request is refused as per Section 12 (the cost of compliance exceeds the
appropriate limit) of the Freedom of Information Act. As a result of this
we can only provide data for 2015.

1.    How many victims of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) have been
reported in 2015?

We are unable to quantify if a child/young person is a victim of FGM,
however we can confirm the number of children/young people who were
assessed to be at risk of FGM at the point of their assessment. In 2015,
36 children/young people received an assessment where FGM was identified
as a risk factor.
