Dear Fylde Borough Council,
Please provide all data relating to the proposed felling of trees in St. Annes. I am specifically seeking information pertaining to whether a licence from the Foretsry Commision is required or sought for the proposed fellings or if the potential requirement has been considered by the council.
Good Morning Mr Buxton
I should like to acknowledge receipt of your FOI request. We will look to provide you with a response prior to the end of the statutory period.
Dear Mr Buxton,
I refer to your recent FOI request. I can confirm that I have now sought the advice of the Council's Tree and Arboriculture Officer and I am advised that any tree in public open spaces is exempt of the requirement for a felling license.
Exemptions also exist for trees that need to be felled for the prevention of danger or the prevention or abatement of a nuisance.
I hope this answers your question.
