Has a Community Shop been included in the options for any appropriate site. The site of the existing Children’s Centre if considered, is and would be difficult to get to for the disabled and less able without private transport.

I am writing in response to your recent request:-

Information Requested : Dear Halton Borough Council,

Has the feasibility study for the Integrated Health & Wellbeing Hub for
Windmill Hill been completed? If it has been completed can you please
issue a copy or the location of a copy on the www.

Has a Community Shop been included in the options for any appropriate
site. The site of the existing Children’s Centre if considered, is and
would be difficult to get to for the disabled and less able without
private transport.

The feasibility study is at a draft final report stage and will be
finalised in September 2018.  I will speak to both the Windmill Hill Big
Local Partnership and Well Halton who have funded the study about its
publication and advise further.

I can advise the report details an option for a Community Shop to be
located at Windmill Hill.  The option is broader than community shop, it
also involves extending the church site to provide a community hall and
investment in public realm to address access points and safety around the
site.

The next phase of the work is for the feasibility study steering group and
partner agencies to consider the report and any future commitment to
realising the option set out in the report which requires £4.5 million of
investment.

Kind regards

Nicola Goodwin
