Failure to comply with the Equality Act 2010 by DGHP.
Dear Dumfries and Galloway Housing Partnership,
A person who had some dealings with DGHP experienced difficulty in being able to accept a property due to serious health problems and a disability. There was a total failure by the housing officer to consider the disability and health problems (cancer) which resulted in the person being homeless.
Please advise:
What is the policy of DGHP in relation to dealing with people who have severe health problems and a disability?
Does DGHP train employees such as housing officers, in the requirements of The Equality Act 2010? Are they made aware of Article 14 Human Rights Act 1998?
When a person advises DGHP of their failings and has these dismissed, is it the policy of DGHP to deliberately fail to comply with legislation concerning people with disabilities and discrimination laws such as Article 14 Human Rights Act 1998?
Has DGHP been notified of any claims against them for their failure to comply with The Equality Act 2010, or Article 14 Human Rights Act 1998? Has any legal action been taken against DGHPto date?
Yours faithfully,
Susan Murray

Dear Information Requests,
I acknowledge receipt of your communication dated 7 January 2022.
I have noted the responses you have provided, however I can advise you that Dumfries and Galloway Housing Partnership, part of the Wheatley Group, fail to comply with The Equality Act 2010, or Article 14 Human Rights Act 1998. This has been drawn to their (and your) attention to no avail.
A complaint to Wheatley Group has been ignored and there has been malfeasance on your part in dealing with matters generally. This will be pursued via legal action.
Yours sincerely,
Susan Murray
