Extra HS2 funding for safer roads in Warwickshire

We're waiting for A Tranter to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Warwickshire County Council,

On 28th November 2017, a news announcement on the Council website (http://news.warwickshire.gov.uk/blog/201...) stated:

"Warwickshire will receive an allocation of £8 million to be spent on schemes by the end of 2026. The funding can be used for traffic calming measures, safer pedestrian crossings or safer junctions for cyclists, pedestrians and drivers."

Please could you:

- Release any information/internal documents/meeting notes on how this £8 million is planned to be spent (including on which projects)
- The amount of money that has been successfully allocated by HS2 Ltd to the Council so far
- The amount of money that has been requested by the Council to HS2 Ltd for consideration so far
- What portion of this budget is earmarked for safer cycling

Yours faithfully,

A Tranter

Dear Warwickshire County Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Warwickshire County Council's handling of my FOI request 'Extra HS2 funding for safer roads in Warwickshire'.

I feel that the information provided is unnecessarily redacted and that notes of HS Road Safety Fund Meetings is very much in the public interest, especially as public funding for the county is available and has not been fully utilised.

Yours faithfully,

A Tranter

Warwickshire County Council
