Expenses
Dear Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority,
Are MP's, allowed to claim expenses for travel etc to a party conference?
Please outline what MP's are allowed to claim per week, what for and what criteria is applied to ensure that expenses do not excessively eat into public funds.
Yours faithfully,
Max Kerley
Dear Max,

Under the [1]Scheme of MPs’ Business Costs and Expenses (‘the Scheme’),
MPs are reimbursed for expenditure incurred for parliamentary purposes

This does not include any costs relating attendance at political party
conferences or meetings, which are explicitly excluded under paragraph 3.5
of the Scheme.
Details of all claims made by MPs for business costs and expenses can be
found on our website: [2]http://www.theipsa.org.uk/mp-costs.
