Expenditure

Roedd y cais yn llwyddiannus.

Dear Birmingham City University,

I was wondering if you could tell me if Birmingham City University paid or made any contribution towards the costs of flying to either the USA and or Canada for either students or staff members for university business in each of the past 5 financial years; The location where they personnel went to eg; New York, Washington DC, Toronto etc and the dates of each visit; The reasons why either students and or staff had to go to USA and or Canada; The robust steps that the University takes to ensure all costs incurred by the university are best value for the taxpayer; Also the name and job title of staff member that signs off on the travel details for the personnel

Yours faithfully,
Emma Smith

The University utilises the services of a Business Management Travel

was entered into by Utilising a Framework Purchasing agreement which Was
tendered by the Southern Universities purchasing Consortium, in accordance
with EU Procurement Directives.  The University ran its own Mini
Competition against all suppliers on the framework before awarding to the
most economically advantageous supplier.

When Booking Travel with The Co-operative travel Management company they
are contractually obliged to provide 3 alternative quotations for each
trip (where 3 alternatives exist) e.g. alternative airlines, routes, times
of travel to ensure best value.
