Dear Executive Office (Northern Ireland),

We are all told, we are treated to endless daily assurances, that lessons have been learned by NICS, that things in NICS are different now, that NICS has changed its culture and mindset.

I write to ask please if there is any record or evidence of, say, how many Note and File only orders have been overturned by NICS in the last year?

Is there any record of plans to clear enormous Annual Performance Appraisal Report backlogs or to overturn long standing Communication Bans regarding them?

Dear Executive Office (Northern Ireland),
Hey, we’re hugely overdue.

As follow up, and to take one particularly egregious example, is there perhaps a record of NICS ever being asked by any Source to reconsider its position regarding the appropriateness of shamelessly using children’s office Christmas parties as occasions for sacking parents?
If so, which Body asked? On what date?

Is there perhaps a record of NICS complying? On what date? Can we please have a copy of the new and revised NICS policy on this and on the rights of protective moms? Have assurances been given that, in light of the devastating psychiatric impact of traditional Christmas Party sackings, the rights of protective moms and the safe space of Office Christmas parties will In future be respected ? People everywhere need to know.
These are hugely important Queries. The Office Christmas Party season starts in November and we are already in August.

Hey, I hate to have to return to this topic but the thing is that the province badly needs investment. That is an unalterable fact. Successfully attracting such investment is maybe the most important task that a reformed NICS will ever do. We must not make the task of a reformed NICS more difficult. Please.
The thing is that Investor Ethics Committees have a huge part to play in the making of decisions on the suitability of N Ireland as a Safe Ethical Insurable, Credible and Appropriate business destination.

We probably don’t want to go into details in this forum but, Rest Assured that prompt accurate and credible Responses to Queries like these really can have a huge part to play in attracting much needed Investment to the province.

I wondered, as follow-up FOI Query please if, in the traditional long-standing, strictly-enforced, old-style Ulster Note and File only environment, there was perhaps a record of any Reports ever having been either commissioned, written or published on the absolute impossibility of Officially targeted OOPs ever obtaining Justice, obtaining Equality, gaining Promotion, advancing a Career, being properly paid for work necessarily done, obtaining proper pension, even maintaining the crucially important feelings of self-esteem and self-worth, the all -important mental health to which we are all equally entitled?

Is there a record of any Supervisory or Oversight Bodies ever formally commenting on what, sadly, sadly, sadly, we all intuitively know many internationally important Investors and impartial Observers alike see as unchanged and unchanging, traditional, widespread, deeply entrenched, grossly negative and destructive , grossly unsafe and unhealthy, inward and backward looking, Not an Inch, Note and File culture of the Senior Civil Service here?

Rest assured of course there is absolutely no reflection on the heavily bullied, poorly treated, frequently sacked, uncomplaining, salt of the earth civil servants who, in the face of constant withering criticism from above do their level best , totally thanklessly, statistics show, (fresh statistics due out tomorrow) driving themselves ill with the effort

Hey I wondered, as follow -up FOI Query please, if there is perhaps a record of anyone ever asking how TEO and The Senior Civil Service somehow seem to enjoy excellent mental health, huge honours, decorations, congratulations and rewards, and be held neither Responsible nor Accountable for anything, while junior civil servants, the eternally bullied the traduced the silenced the officially Ostracised members of the OOP community, lower caste people, seem to take the rap and be sacked without right of reply for literally everything and anything?

Is there perhaps a record of any explanations ever being attempted or provided or of timetables ever being drawn up for the provision of such explanations?
