Dear Home Office,

Oh dear...

Did you just make a data protection Breach...

Yours faithfully,

Wayne Pearsall

Dear Home Office,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Home Office's handling of my FOI request 'EU settlement scheme application form - surinder Singh case'.

Now we have established that the data I requested is held, I would like you to evaluate your handling of my request.

I made a valid foi request. You sidestepped it.

The response exceeded the legal timeframe.

You have refused information, and I say that the public interest is in favour of disclosure.

You appear to hold training material, given information that has been disclosed refers to slides (I'm assuming PowerPoint) these fall for disclosure.

You have breached the data protection act by discussing sensitive information of a third party that had nothing to do with this request, or was not mentioned in this request.

You are required to protect personal data. The FOIA is clear that personal information is not to be disclosed in such a request.

Please review your response.

Dear Home Office,

Oh. My. days.

Why are you once again disclosing personal data of my wife.

Despite the previous cost outlining that such should not be done...

You hold my andd my wife's personal email. Why are you having such blatant disregard for an applicant's personal data....

The foi any is clear. S.40.

Yours ,

Wayne Pearsall

Gadawodd Wayne Pearsall anodiad ()

So the FOIA is applicant blind.

The immigration records of a person are sensitive data.

The home office searched my wife's immigration records to respond to a generic foi request which made no reference to my wife's application

The home office attempted to make me reference my wife's case, I refused to do so knowing they were trying to prevent disclosure of the information I was requesting.

The home office continued to divulge sensitive information about my wife.

I outlined this breach and told them to contact us privately.

They then published another breach.

But don't worry people. Your information is safe in their hands.

The WhatDoTheyKnow administration team was informed that third party information had inadvertently been disclosed in the response and internal review response documents on this request.

We have taken action to remove the third party information from public view.
