Please provide the following information as of June 17th 2022
1. How many employees remain to work from home who didn’t before the covid 19 pandemic.
2. What are the positions of each staff member continuing to work from home.
3. What is the reason for each staff member continuing to work from home.
4. Have any of these staff members been requested to discontinue working from home.
5. Have the council carried out any type of economic study, time and motion study or any other assessment to ensure the council receive best value for money by allowing the practice of working from home to continue.

We refer to the above matter and write further to our acknowledgement
email of 27^th June 2022.
Your request has been processed in accordance with the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 and please see Ards and North Down Borough Council’s
response below.
Please provide the following information as of June 17^th 2022
1. How many employees remain to work from home who didn’t before the
covid 19 pandemic. No exact figure is held. Approximately 385
employees have the ability to work from home, however, many of these
employees have returned to working in to the office either fully or on
a hybrid basis.
2. What are the positions of each staff member continuing to work from
home. No recorded information is held of which staff/positions
continue to work from home as of 17^th June 2022.
3. What is the reason for each staff member continuing to work from home.
Interim home working policy still in place following the
pandemic. Longer term arrangements are currently being reviewed.
4. Have any of these staff members been requested to discontinue working
from home. No recorded information is held.
5. Have the council carried out any type of economic study, time and
motion study or any other assessment to ensure the council receive
best value for money by allowing the practice of working from home to
continue. A New Ways of Working Internal Audit is currently in process
and a staff survey has been developed around longer term working from
home arrangements to gather information on resource requirements,
wellbeing and staff preferences.
