Dear Highways England,

Please provide a summary of the number of Trainee Inspection Drivers and Inspectors in your asset delivery teams 1-14 from 01/04/2017 to present (please specify the numbers of roles for each area independently).

1) Employed directly by Highways England on a permanent contract (please specify the numbers of roles for each area independently).

2) Contracted directly by Highways England on a fixed term contract (please specify the numbers of roles for each area independently).

3) Contracted through an external recruitment agency. For clarity these people are likely to have contract with the recruitment agency and will submit timesheets directly with them. Highways England may have a contract with the agency but it will not be with the individual (please specify the numbers of roles for each area independently).

Yours faithfully,

Sylvia Palmer

HR Team Leads T1, Highways England Company Limited

Good afternoon Sylvia

I am writing regarding your request for information received. In that request, you asked us to provide a summary of the number of Trainee Inspection Drivers and Inspectors in your asset delivery teams 1-14 from 01/04/2017 to present.

I will be unable to proceed with your request without clarification of the information you wish to receive. To help us do so, we require greater clarity on the role titles you have asked for information on. We have numerous inspector roles so please can you clarify which ones you are interested in (e.g. Highways inspector / Senior Maintenance inspector). In addition, Trainee Inspection Drivers isn’t a role title we recognise. We have ‘Trainee Inspectors’. In order to complete this request, we need this clarification of the ones you are interested in.

Please note that if I do not receive appropriate clarification of your information requirements within three months from the date of this letter, then I will consider your request closed.

If you wish to discuss any of the above, please contact me. Please remember to quote reference number FOI 100324 in any future communications.

Yours sincerely

Kind regards
