Emergency Travel Document
Dear HM Passport Office,
Further to recent announcements by home office to issue emergency
travel documents for children out of UK, infact the exact wording
on gov.uk website says
"If you’re the parent or guardian of a child living overseas who
needs to travel, you can apply for an emergency travel document for
your child if you can’t get a new or renewed passport in time to
travel."
1. How many Emergency Travel Documents were issued for overseas applicants Jun -14, Jul - 14, Aug- 14 and Sep -14 Months
2. What is the turnaround time for those applications
3. What is the procedure followed.
Yours faithfully,
Taraka

Dear HM Passport Office,
I must be getting reply by 20th October by law and am still waiting on this.
Can you update quickly
Yours faithfully,

Dear Taraka,
Thank you for your email yesterday.
I think there is some confusion over deadlines. Your request for information was originally made to HM Passport Office, who in turn forwarded it to Consular Directorate, Foreign & Commonwealth Office to reply. It was official allocated to Consular Directorate on 3 October so the deadline for replying is 30 October. I will check with the case officer this morning and let you know when we plan to reply.
Regards
Consular Directorate | Foreign & Commonwealth Office

Dear HM Passport Office,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of HM Passport Office's handling of my FOI request 'Emergency Travel Document'.
[Please see the reply I got from FCO which is not all the information requested as I applied for Emergency Travel Document at British Consulate Chennai on 5th Sep 2014 for my daughter and it is according to them is not straightforward case because she did not hold a british passport before but is british. According to them FCO's priority to provide and efficient service to all ETD applicants and aim to turn around each application as quickly is not happening to my case. Can you please specifically give us turnaround time for my case which is not straight forward but supplied all the documents at BC Chennai and there is genuine reason for emergency in my case. It is already been 8 weeks after the application.]
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/e...
Yours faithfully,
Taraka
Dear HM Passport Office,
