Mr Sarbin

I refer to your email of 21 August 2021 seeking information about
hospitality to officers, elected members and fire service staff during the
period of the Emergency Services Show (ESS) at the NEC, 7-8 September 2021
(LFB ref: FOIA5988.1).

Please note that the London Fire Commissioner (a corporate entity) runs
the London Fire Brigade; we have no elected members.

LFB officers are required to register gifts and hospitality received in
accordance with LFB policy 465 which is attached to this email, and this
answers your question 5.

So far as your questions 1, 2, 3 and 4 are concerned, I am relying on
Section 22 of the Freedom of Information Act which provides an exemption
for information that is intended to be published in the future.
Information is exempt from disclosure if, at the time when the public
authority receives a request for it:

o the public authority holds the requested information;
o the public authority intends the information to be published at some
future date, whether that date is determined or not; and
o in all the circumstances it is reasonable to withhold the information
until its planned publication.

The Brigade publishes its register of gifts  and hospitality received on
the London Datastore and you can find it [1]here. The data is updated
quarterly so the data for Q2 (covering July to September) will be
published in October 2021. The details of any hospitality offered,
accepted/rejected, etc. will be found in the register.

I hope you find the information we have been able to provide of use.

We have dealt with your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
For more information about this please see the information published by
the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in their guide on “[2]How to
access information from a public body”.
