Dear Miss Limbert

Further to your recent request for information relating to the Emergency Active Travel Fund - if I may begin with an apology for the delay in replying, I hope this has not been inconvenient.

Please find attached the North East Region’s application form and supporting letter for the Emergency Active Travel Fund which were sent to the Department for Transport on the 5th of June 2020. The application consisted of 70 “pop up” schemes across the region with an estimated delivery cost of £3.172million. The application contained a range of schemes with aims including: increasing capacity for walking and cycling, enabling mode shift to walking and improving safety and perceptions of safety by segregating cyclists and road traffic where possible

Sincerely,
