Dear Louisa Jordan,

Thank you for your very prompt handling and supply of the information I requested. This is greatly appreciated and very helpful.

I was very concerned at the brevity of your Health Overview and Scrutiny Committees comments as reported on page 20 of the EMAS Consultation Response Report, especially given the serious implications of the proposals on patient care. (a copy of the report Ref PB/13/005 can be downloaded from the Trust oard pages of the EMAS website. I was also concerned at the conclusions EMAS have drawn from the feedback they have received overall - since the vast majority of people who have provided any form of feedback rather than just the formal consultation responses seem to be opposed to the plans.

I trust that Leicestershire City Council will be taking this matter up further with East Midlands Ambulance Service, particularly as EMAS have stated that they will not be undertaking any further consultation on the matter once their final decisions are made on the 25th March 2013.

Yours sincerely,

Jenny Collins
