Elsevier journal subscription costs

Mae'r ymateb i'r cais hwn yn hwyr iawn. Yn ôl y gyfraith, ym mhob amgylchiad, dylai Royal College of Music fod wedi ymateb erbyn hyn. (manylion). Gallwch gwyno drwy yn gofyn am adolygiad mewnol.

Dear Royal College of Music,

Please publish the total amount paid to Elsevier for academic
journals in each of the last five years (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013,
and 2014).

I understand that your expenditure records may be held in academic
financial years rather than calendar years. If so please provide
figures for 2009/10, 2010/11, 2011/12, 2012/13, and 2013/14.

The figures should include payments made directly to Elsevier as
well as any payments made to subscription agents or intermediaries
for the purchase of, and/or access to, Elsevier academic journals.
They should also include payment for journal packages such as Jisc
Collections’ NESLi agreement, as well as for individual journals.
Please include VAT where possible.

Please do not include payments for other products from the same
company, such as Scopus, which are not academic journals.

Yours faithfully,

Stuart Lawson

Dear Royal College of Music,

Has there been any progress on this request?

Dear Royal College of Music,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Royal College of Music's handling of my FOI request 'Elsevier journal subscription costs'.

By law, the College should normally have responded promptly and by 9 December 2014.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/e...

Yours faithfully,

Stuart Lawson

Dear Mr Lawson,

Thank you for your request for information made under the provisions of
the Freedom of Information Act.  I note that you logged this request via a
third party web-site, which has only very recently updated its contact
details for the RCM, in spite of my having requested them to do so early
in the Autumn term.  I have now asked the relevant officers here at the
RCM for the information you requested and hope to have a reply for you
shortly.

Best wishes,

Nicholas Seager

Dear Nicholas,

Thank you for responding to two of the three FOI requests sent by myself and Ben Meghreblian. There is one which we haven't had an answer to, which is Ben's request regarding Taylor & Francis, Sage, and Cambridge University Press (https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/a...). Could we have an answer to that one please?

Yours sincerely,

Stuart Lawson

Dear Mr Lawson

Thank you for your email.  Unfortunately my "what do they know" account
doesn't work, and requests for resetting my password have gone
unanswered.  It would therefore be helpful if you could submit your
request direct to [1][RCM request email] and I will be only too happy to
answer your question.

Best wishes,

Dear Nicholas,

The whatdotheyknow.com website actually blanks out email addresses so I can't see what you typed there! I will contact them myself as well to try to resolve this.

Yours sincerely,

Stuart Lawson
