The above request is exempt under S39(2) Environmental Information of
FOISA  therefore we respond under the Environmental Information (Scotland)
Regulations 2004.

 

The following response was prepared and provided on behalf of Assets &
Infrastructure:  

 

1)      How many public electric vehicle (EV) charging points do you
currently have in your council area?

 

Scottish Borders Council Have installed in the last 5yrs;

 

11 x Triple rapid chargers delivering 50kw DC and 43kw AC with the CCS and

           CHAdeMO.

 4 x   7Kw chargers.

 

12 x  3Kw chargers - 4 are not available to the public.

 

2)      How many do you plan to have by 2020? There is planning for
additional rapid chargers for 2017-18 and 4 locations have been identified
but uncertain at this time if suitable.

 

3)      How many do you plan to have by 2032? There are no planned
installations beyond 2017-18 at this time as new locations are only
reviewed annually and dependant on central funding.
