Dear Mr Smith,

Please find Falkirk Council’s response to your Freedom of Information
request below:

1)      How many public electric vehicle (EV) charging points do you
currently have in your council area?

There are currently 11 publically available EV charging units in the
Falkirk Council area (22 charging bays).

2)      How many do you plan to have by 2020?

There will be at least an additional 13 publically available charging
units (26 bays) by 2020.

3)      How many do you plan to have by 2032?

Falkirk Council have not set a target for the number of charging units by
2032, as the installation of EV charging infrastructure is dependent on
the availability of external funding such as Transport Scotland’s
ChargePlace Scotland grant scheme. As there has been no announcement of
future funding, Falkirk Council cannot commit to targets at this time.

I hope this addresses your FOI query. However, If you are not satisfied
with the way in which your FOI request was dealt with, I have attached a
‘Right to Complain’ leaflet which sets out your rights of recourse.

Regards,

Adam Watson | Transport Planning Officer
