Dear Mr Smith,

Thank you for your information request of 25 October 2017.  Aberdeen City
Council (ACC) has completed the necessary search for the information
requested.

1) How many public electric vehicle (EV) charging points do you currently
have in your council area?

In terms of those that have been implemented by the Council we have 62
electric vehicle charge points which are available to the public. There
are a further 19 which can be used by Co-wheels car club cars too and many
of these cars can be accessed by members of the public.

On top of this there may be private developments which have chosen to
install EV charge points and make these available to members of the
public. A UK mapping site such as [1]https://www.zap-map.com/ should be
able to provide details.

2) How many do you plan to have by 2020?

We will be adding at least two more double units (4 sockets worth) in
2018. However, we have no Council budget for charge points and are
therefore completely dependent on external funding at present to increase
the network. Without a guaranteed fund, we can’t predict how many will be
added by 2020. We will continue to investigate sources of external
funding.

3) How many do you plan to have by 2032?

We will be adding at least two more double units (4 sockets worth) in
2018. However, we have no Council budget for charge points and are
therefore completely dependent on external funding at present to increase
the network. Without a guaranteed fund, we can’t predict how many will be
added by 2032. We will continue to investigate sources of external
funding.

We hope this helps with your request.

Yours sincerely,
