Electoral registers
Dear Hambleton District Council,
This is a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act.
From January 2018 to the day this request is processed, please provide a list of organisations and companies that have requested electoral registers and/or electoral register updates, overseas voters lists, and/or absent voters lists.
For each organisation/company, please provide details on what they requested and when they requested it. Please also indicate whether their requests were fulfilled.
I would like to receive this information in an electronic format. If you feel that a substantive response to this request is not possible within a reasonable time frame, I would be grateful if you could contact me and provide assistance as to how I can refine the request. Hambleton District Council provide registers to those who are entitle to
it, the attached document sets out who is entitled to receive what copies
of the full electoral register, overseas and absent voters list under the
Representation of the Peoples Regulations 2001. Records for those who have
requested these are only retained for the life of the register (Dec 2017
until Nov 2018) so the records you have requested are no long held. The
only records I have are people who pay for the registesr, overseas and
absent voters list which are in the table below.

If you are unhappy with the way in which we have handled your request, the
fee we have charged, or the reasons we have given for not providing
information, you have the right to appeal. The review of the request and
information provided will be a two-stage process.
1) If you are unhappy with the response from the Council, you will be able
to ask for an internal review of that decision by a senior officer by
writing to the Information Governance Manager at

who was not involved with the original decision will be appointed to
conduct the internal review. The officer will evaluate your request, the
information held by the Council and the initial response which was sent to
your request. You will then be informed of the outcome of the review in
due course.
2) Following the internal review, if you remain dissatisfied, you can seek
an independent review from the Information Commissioner. Requests for a
review by the Information Commissioner should be made in writing directly
