Early morning waste collections
DS Comm refuse bin - Rose Hill Close - Holden
We’re (very) tired of being woken up at 05:15 every morning.
Those collection times are clearly not always necessary, as they were changed for a week or two.
Please could you provide me with separate maps for each route which goes anywhere near my road, with both the route taken and the presence of all bins to be emptied clearly marked – together with the approximate/expected start and end times of the route?

We have attached the recycling consultation document for your area which includes a map showing where all refuse (shown in black) and recycling / glass containers are placed in your area.
Refuse and recycling collection crews (normally wheelie bins / recycling boxes) work between 7am to 3:30pm. Crews collecting refuse from communal refuse and recycling containers work between 5am to 4:30pm.
Communal collection crews start work early as this enables us to avoid traffic during peak travel times. Also at times it is logistically difficult to complete collections due to the size of the vehicles and containers as it can cause obstruction on the roads.
The communal refuse container at Rose Hill Close is collected early due to its location which means the collection vehicle has to back over a dual carriage way. Collecting at this time means obstruction to traffic is avoided. In some areas this is necessary and City Clean will have to adjust collection times during the day to try and cause minimal disruption to residents and commuters.
