Earlston High School Budget spent on purchase of Dux medals

We're waiting for R Thomas to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Scottish Borders Council

Please provide the following information:

• whether Earlston High School funds were used this year (2021) for the purchase of Dux medals from Kirkwood & Sons or if these items were purchased by an individual outwith the school budget

• how much in total was spent this year on the purchase of Dux medals along with the cost for the previous 2 academic years

Dear R Thomas

Further to your request for information under the Freedom of Information
(Scotland) Act 2002 relating to the above I am now able to respond.

 

The following response was prepared and provided on behalf of Education &
Lifelong Learning.

 

Dux Medals are funded by School Fund as they are not for the day to day
running of the school.

 

Expenditure for the last 3 years is as follows :

2019/20 £517.56

2020/21 £502.01

2021/22 £818.16

 

I should advise that you have a right to request a review within 40
working days from the date we respond to your request.  You should either

If after the Council’s FOI Advice Group have considered your review and
you are still not happy with the decision you then have a right to appeal
