From 1 January 2016 to 1 March 2018 (or latest possible date).

Under Section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA), the
University is not obliged to comply with a request for information if the
cost of supplying the information would exceed £450, a figure which
equates to approximately 18 hours of work.  In this instance, the expense
claim forms, receipts, statements and invoices are not held centrally,
which would mean that collating the information for the time period
requested would involve a significant manual collation exercise.  It is
estimated that the time taken to locate, retrieve and extract the
requested information would exceed 18 hours.

In order to bring your request within cost limits, it is anticipated that
information could be provided on the total of expenses claimed from 1st
August 2016 to 31st July 2017.  This would be totals only, and would not
be broken down into individual items.

If you are dissatisfied with the University’s response to your freedom of
information request, you can ask us to internally review our handling of
your request, including the application of any exemptions applied.  To do
this, please email [2][Durham University request email] or write to:

Please state the grounds on which you wish the decision to be reviewed and
enclose any other information that may be useful in considering the matter
further.  We aim to inform you of our decision within 20 working days from
the date your request for internal review is received.

apply to the Information Commissioner's Office for an independent review.
