Dear Thirteen Group,

The Data Protection Act 2018 is the UK’s implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Everyone responsible for using personal data has to follow strict rules called ‘data protection principles’.
They must make sure the information is, used fairly, lawfully and transparently
Compliance with these new legal requirements is mandatory.
corporate governance seeks to ensure the Council maintains
high standards to protect the personal data of residents underpinning the
values and priorities of the Council.
Implementation of these changes will give the Council the opportunity to review and
strengthen its processes and procedures in relation to information management and
data protection for all its residents If GDPR is implemented correctly in the right spirit will help the Council foster
the public’s trust in the way it works
