Dog wardens

The request was successful.

Dear Haringey Borough Council,
1a. For each year from 2005/6 to 2018/19 could you please tell me the total number of w.t.e (whole time equivalent) dog wardens you employ?
For the same time period:
1b. If the role of the dog warden has been dispersed to other staff could you please let me know how many staff undertake dog warden duties and what proportion of their time in whole time equivalents (w.t.e.) that they roughly spend on the dog warden's role.
1c. If you do not directly employ any dog wardens and manage this function via a contract with an external provider could you please let me know how many staff are employed by the external provider on dog warden duties and what proportion of their time is committed to the dog warden's role?

2. For each year from 2005/6 to 2018/19 how many Commercial Breeding Establishments are there for dogs? (Commercial Breeding Establishments defined as 5 or more litters per year).

Yours faithfully,

H. Guite

Dear Guite,

Re: Freedom of Information Act Request ref: LBH/8782319

Thank you for your request for information received on 31 May 2019, in
which you asked for the following:

1a. For each year from 2005/6 to 2018/19 could you please tell me the
total number of w.t.e (whole time equivalent) dog wardens you employ?

For the same time period:

1b. If the role of the dog warden has been dispersed to other staff could
you please let me know how many staff undertake dog warden duties and what
proportion of their time in whole time equivalents (w.t.e.) that they
roughly spend on the dog warden's role.

1c. If you do not directly employ any dog wardens and manage this function
via a contract with an external provider could you please let me know how
many staff are employed by the external provider on dog warden duties and
what proportion of their time is committed to the dog warden's role?

2. For each year from 2005/6 to 2018/19 how many Commercial Breeding
Establishments are there for dogs? (Commercial Breeding Establishments
defined as 5 or more litters per year).

My response is as follows:

1a-1c  - The London Borough of Haringey has since 2012 commissioned a
stray dog service from the London Borough of Waltham forest. We do not
specify how many staff they should employ to deliver the service. Records
prior to 2012 are no longer available.
