Dear Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council,

I would like to know if you are intending to create a dog fouling/ litter team using an outside contractor who pay a bonus scheme to its enforcement officers.

Wirral Council thanks you for your request and is able to provide to you
the following information from the Future Council Consultation pack:

 

The Council have provided members of the public with a budget option to
consider, which is that “the Council proposes to launch a joint dog
fouling and litter patrol team to target people who drop litter and those
who allow the dogs to unlawfully foul the public spaces.  A more generic
team will maximise the limited resources available to tackle these
problems.”

 

This  proposal is the current recorded information we have to provide to
you in respect of your query.

 

Information regards The Future Council project is available on the
