1. Please could you provide the percentage of discretionary deferral requests which the local authority has provided an extra year of early learning and childcare funding for since 2013. Please only include those children born on or after the school commencement date in August and 31 Dec who were granted an extra year of funding.

2. Please could you also provide the total number of applications for discretionary deferral funding received and the total number successful for each year since 2013. Please only include those children born on or after the school commencement date in August and 31 Dec who were granted an extra year of funding.

Council (ACC) has completed the necessary search for the information
requested. Our response is now detailed below.

 

1. Please could you provide the percentage of discretionary deferral

2013 – we do not hold information from 2013 due to record retention
schedules.

2014 41%

2015 74%

2016 no data available

2017 80%

2018 57%

 

Please note, due to an administrative error, information for 2016 is not
available.

 

ACC is unable to provide you with information on percentage of
discretionary deferral requests which the local authority has provided an
extra year of early learning and childcare funding for 2013 and 2016 as it
is not held by ACC. In order to comply with its obligations under the
terms of Section 17 of the FOISA, ACC hereby gives notice that this
information is not held by it.
