Disclosure of information related to ratifying the (Kampala) Amendments on the crime of aggression

Roedd y cais yn llwyddiannus.

Dear Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office,

Under the terms of the FoI Act 2000, I request disclosure of information related to the number and dates of communications made between the FCO/ FCDO and the ICC-ASP, since the 16th session of the ASP-ICC on 4-14 December 2017, in order to remedy the differences between the ICC-ASP and the UK government over ratification of the Kampala Amendments (now incorporated into the Statute Of Rome) and to achieve the ratification the UK government says it wants.

Yours faithfully,

christopher lamb

Central FOI Unit,

Dear Mr Lamb

Thank you for your FOI request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

We received your request on 15th January. It has been assigned a unique
reference number (above). We aim to respond by Friday, 12th February.

Please note, however, that reprioritisation of resources due to the
COVID-19 crisis, and measures we are required to take to prevent the
spread of the virus, continue to have an impact on our ability to respond
to all requests within the statutory deadline.

We have significantly reduced on-site working which will mean delays to
responses which require access to paper records.

We are endeavouring to process requests as quickly as possible, and
appreciate your patience at this time.

Yours sincerely,

Information Rights Unit
