Disclosure of Grant Allocations by Business Type

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Cotswold District Council should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Nicola Crewe-Read

Dear Cotswold District Council,

As of 26 April 2020, you had distributed £27.57m to 2,226 businesses under the covid 19 grant scheme. I have requested a breakdown of the recipients of these grants by business type (shop, furnished holiday let, b&b, showroom, etc) from our MP but am not hopeful of a timely response. You may have made grants subsequent to that date - the same breakdown is required in relation to those subsequent grants.

We look forward to receiving the requested information.

Yours faithfully,

Nicola

Given the national crisis caused by the coronavirus, the Government has
advised that local authorities can relax the 20 day deadline for
responding to Freedom of Information requests.

As a Council, we will still endeavour to deal with requests within 20
working days, but given our own response to the coronavirus emergency we
may not be able to meet that timescale.  If this is the case, we will
notify the person who has submitted the request.

Dear Cotswold District Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Cotswold District Council's handling of my FOI request 'Disclosure of Grant Allocations by Business Type'.

This is now long overdue.

With best wishes,

Nicola

FOI (CDC), Cotswold District Council

Dear Ms Nicola Crewe-Read

Thank you for your email below dated the 1 July 2020, please accept our apologies for the delay in responding to your FOI request received on the 1 May 2020. Resources have been diverted away from this work to some extent over the past few months due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown leading to us unfortunately failing to meet deadlines. We have been working through the backlog of FOIs and have chased a response from the relevant department as we are still waiting the information to some of your questions. We will endeavour to get the response out to you within the next week.

Yours sincerely

Freedom of Information Team
Cotswold District Council
