Disclosure and Barring Service checks

2. A standard DBS check
3. A basic DBS check.

areas/services of the following former councils – Dorset County Council,
East Dorset District Council, Dorset Councils Partnership (made up of
North Dorset District Council, West Dorset District Council and Weymouth &

Please note: Dorset Council was created from 1^st April 2019 covering the
areas/services of the following former councils – Dorset County Council,

Our response to your request is below, and you will not receive separate
responses from the former councils.

 

Dorset Council currently has 8,183 employees including schools staff; of
these 5,926 need a DBS check.

 

The DBS requirements are:

5,271 Enhanced

69 Standard

586 Basic
